San Francisco – A City I Love
I made an Etsy treasury tonight based on San Francisco. A city I feel fortunate to have lived in, and called home, I felt inspired to build a treasury with SF as the theme. While building out this treasury, I came across a piece that I absolutely had to feature, and am compelled to purchase if nobody else does over the next few days. I thought I’d spotlight it on my blog as well, as I truly love it. Who knows, maybe it will be hanging in my office one day soon!
Isn’t that just simple and beautiful and everything that San Francisco is!? Yes, I’m seriously in love.
You can check out my treasury here.
Hello Mr. President!
I could not be happier or more hopeful for our Country than I am right now. Now the real work begins!
Sick, sick, sick…
After a couple months of not getting what everyone around me had, I have finally gotten a cold. It is no fun, and is definitely slowing me down a bit. So… while I had every intention of getting up a pattern this week, it may not be until this weekend. But, I can’t wait to be sewing again, and look forward to putting up my first pattern/tutorial.
Also, read the news today about Steve Jobs taking his leave of absence. As a huge fan of Apple and the amazing visionary that is Steve Jobs, I’m sad to hear that his sickness is worse than he suspected. My thoughts are with him and his family.
Back to our regularly scheduled program soon!
Back From Vegas – Back To Creating!
I’ve been in Vegas at the large Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for my day job. Great show, just too much to do in a very short period of time. Compound that with the fact that I’m in Vegas, and I am now in need of a recovery day (today!). Walking around a trade show and going to meetings with 100K other people can really take a toll on the body!
In celebration of returning from Vegas, I am posting some pictures of my latest creation made out of red leather/suede. It’s got a lining that is ‘explosive’ and beautiful. So soft, I just want to hold it all of the time!
Happy New Year! To a Great 2009!
Hi everyone… quick post on this New Year’s Day. Thought I’d share a couple pictures I took of the Rose Parade floats lining up along Orange Grove. The detail of each float is amazing, and the colors and flower and work behind them is incredible! Everything you see on the float is plant material.
Thanksgiving and Rain and Turkey!!
I really love this time of year. The weather (when southern California finally cooperates!), the food, and the thankfulness that everyone is feeling. I get to see great family tomorrow along with great food! I’m personally thankful for my family and friends. I’m also thankful that I’ve been able to start this business in the last couple months and am enjoying it even when I’m exhausted.
After Thanksgiving day I’ll be working on more pieces for my upcoming show. I have a lot to do, but know I can get it done.
I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Will be back with more pictures on Friday.
